Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

• Graduation must have been completed not earlier than 01 January 2023 and not later than 01 September 2026.

Additional Eligibility Conditions

Candidates should also note that:

• Candidates must not have previously undergone apprenticeship training with Canara Bank or another organization under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
• Candidates who have completed their educational qualification and subsequently undergone training or have one or more years of job experience are not eligible.

Age Limit

The age will be calculated as on 01 September 2026.

Age Relaxation

For widows, divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried, the age concession is up to 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST candidates, subject to the notification conditions.

Local Language Requirement

Candidates who have studied the specified local language of the State in 10th or 12th standard and can provide the relevant marksheet/certificate will not be required to undergo the local language test.

Other candidates will have to qualify in the local language test during the Document Verification process. Failure to qualify the test will result in non-engagement as an apprentice.

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on a State-wise merit list.

The merit list will be prepared based on the percentage/marks obtained in 12th Standard (HSC/10+2) or Diploma Examination.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

If candidates have the same percentage, the candidate’s age will be considered for ranking according to the notification.

The final selection is subject to:

1. Verification of eligibility and information provided in the application.
2. Qualification in the local language test, wherever applicable.
3. Medical fitness as required by the Bank.
4. Successful Document Verification.

Salary / Stipend

Selected Graduate Apprentices will receive a total monthly stipend of ₹16,650/- during the apprenticeship period.

The notification states that apprentices are not eligible for other allowances or employee benefits.

The apprenticeship is a training engagement and selected apprentices will not be treated as regular employees of Canara Bank. The Bank also has no obligation to provide regular employment during or after completion of the apprenticeship.
