Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must hold a B.Sc. (Nursing) degree from a recognized university, OR a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or Gujarat Nursing Council.

• Nursing Council Registration: Must be registered with the Gujarat Nursing Council (or obtain it prior to appointment).

• Computer Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services rules.

Selection Process

The selection process is based on a single-stage Competitive Written Examination (MCQ Type) consisting of two papers:

1. Paper I (Nursing – 100 Marks / 2 Hours): Covers Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Midwifery & Paediatric Nursing, Mental Health, and Community Health Nursing.

2. Paper II (Gujarati Language – 100 Marks / 2 Hours): Covers Language (30), Grammar (40), and Literature (30).

• Qualifying Standard: Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks separately in both Paper I and Paper II.

• Negative Marking: ¼th mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.

Salary / Pay Scale

• First 5 Years: Fixed monthly remuneration of ₹40,800/-.

• After 5 Years: Regular pay scale under the 7th Pay Commission (Level-5: ₹29,200 – ₹92,300) upon satisfactory completion of initial service.
